BTSS is supporting Kings Heath Action for Refugees as its Charity of the Year.

Kings Heath Action for Refugees is a remarkable Birmingham based charity who aims to relieve the needs of refugees and asylum seekers who have been subject to difficult experiences. The charity is run solely by volunteers who manage this work around their day jobs, family commitments and studying.

The services of the charity include befriending refugees and asylum seekers in the local area, providing necessary support, funding and information services, and advocating for better rights and conditions for asylum seekers and refugees. They describe themselves as a ‘small charity with a big heart and even bigger ambitions’ - BTSS are incredibly excited to help with those ambitions this year.
