Story
Last October my dad randomly broke his arm, an xray showed something the doctors were not happy with, a week later my dad broke his other arm, within weeks we were taking him to scans, blood tests, different consultations because what they found were tumours in his bones. It was not bone cancer, more tests revealed it is a cancer called Myeloma, this is a blood cancer that has spread to the bones (dramatically). From those very first appointments where we were being told these different diagnosis Macmillan was there, armed and ready to support, contacts to call on when needed and no question or quizzing was too much.Within a month a chemo plan had been implemented and on a weekly basis we take my dad to Macmillan at Frimley for his treatment. It is not curable what my dad has but they can treat it to try and keep it at bay.
