Story
This challenge isn’t really about the miles.
It’s about supporting an incredible cause: Hope Against Cancer.
Hope funds innovative, local research across Leicestershire and Rutland, working with hospitals and universities to improve care and experiences for people affected by cancer.
Starting on 19th June, I’ll be running 500 miles (805km) in 80 days.
That works out at around 6.2 miles (10km) every single day.
The distance itself isn’t what pushes me out of my comfort zone, I run regularly. The real challenge is consistency. Showing up every day. Running through fatigue. Staying disciplined for nearly three months straight.
But more than that, the biggest stretch for me is putting myself out there and actively promoting something I truly believe in. I’m really grateful to have the backing of FatFace for this challenge, and to have a platform where I can share the journey and hopefully help raise awareness and support for Hope’s work along the way.
If you can, please donate.
If you can’t, sharing this post or sending it to someone else makes a real difference. It helps this reach far beyond my own network.
I’ll be up and running very soon, and I’m excited to take you along for the journey.
Will
