At Bumblebee Beatz we will be holding a sponsored Action-a-thon where the babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their grownups will take part in a challenge to complete 15 action songs during their weekly class to raise money for St Benedict’s Hospice in memory of Beth Junkin.

Beth attended my Bumblebee Beatz classes with her youngest son in 2022. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 cervical cancer just 6 weeks after he was born. Her diagnosis was terminal.

She fought hard, but sadly lost her battle last year aged 38. Leaving behind her husband and two young sons.

Beth and her family received amazing care and support from St Benedict’s Hospice in her last few months and beyond. During this time she asked anyone who could, to fundraise for St Benedict’s Hospice so that other families can receive the same care and support as her and her family did - it was an invaluable support to the whole family.

Our Action-a-thon is our way of remembering Beth, continuing our support of St Benedict’s Hospice (following our brilliant Sponsored Sing last year) and raising awareness of the importance of smear tests in the fight against cervical cancer.
