On Saturday 18th April, the whole school are taking on a 5k running and walking challenge!

Last year Burbage Primary School parents, teachers and students came together to take over the Marlborough 5k ParkRun. Big students supported little students, parents got their running trainers on, teachers came out on their precious weekend, and some of our runners even managed to achieve their personal best 5k time!

We raised a really impressive £1,527.61 last year. This helped our school to invest in an exciting new play concept called OPAL which has energized break time with interesting equipment, encouraging creativity and imagination and allowing kids to return to class brimming with enthusiasm for learning. We are all so grateful.

As with all schools, there is always more to do, and we need all the investment we can muster to make sure our kids have the best opportunities to spark a life long love of learning.

It’s always ambitious to aim for the same targets again, but we’re ready for the challenge! Running and walking 5 whole kilometers is no easy task for our parents, teachers and students - they will be working hard mentally and physically to achieve their personal aims, whether that’s just getting over the finish line for the first time, or running faster than they’ve ever run before!
