Story
We are a group of young people from across London, brought together by Mentivity and Beyond the Narrative as part of a social action project called City Shapers.
We've chosen to focus on young people's mental health - because we've seen it, we've felt it, and we know how much it matters. The pressures facing young people today are real, and too many of us are struggling in silence. YoungMinds exists to change that, and we want to be part of that change.
That's why we're hosting The Burgess Bop - a sponsored 10km walk around Burgess Park in London on 8th April 2026, raising money and awareness for Young Minds, the UK's leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health.
📍 Burgess Park, London
🕛 Registration from 12pm
🚶 10km walk
🍜 Food at Mentivity House from 2pm for all participants
This event is open to everyone - young people (11+), adults, and families are all welcome. Children under 11 are very welcome to join accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We'd love for you to join us - whether that's grabbing your trainers and walking with us, or simply donating to show your support. Every pound raised goes directly to YoungMinds, helping ensure that no young person has to face mental health challenges alone.
