Climbing Snowdon at Night for FORCE Cancer Charity — In Memory of Tim

Kathryn and Andrew Burrell is raising money for FORCE Cancer Charity
In memory of Tim Deasy

Snowdon at Night · 1 August 2026 ·

Snowdon At Night is FORCE Cancer Charities first ever UK trek. We will start our ascent from 1am to reach the summit at sunrise, embarking on our decent, before celebrating with a breakfast and a glass of fizz!

Story

Last year, a very dear friend lost her husband, Tim, to a brain tumour at just 51, and their lovely little boy lost his dad.

FORCE Cancer Charity provided vital support to the family during one of the hardest times of their lives and continue to support them today.

Andrew lost his dad to cancer nearly 16 years ago and knows only too well how important charities like FORCE are — not just for patients, but for their families too. Services like these rely heavily on fundraising to continue supporting those who need them.

In memory of Tim, and to help FORCE continue supporting others facing cancer, Andrew and I are taking on the Snowdon at Night challenge this August: trekking to the summit of Snowdon in the dark (eek!) to reach the top in time for sunrise.

It will be a tough challenge, but nothing compared to what families living with cancer go through every day. Every penny we raise will go directly to FORCE Cancer Charity, helping them continue to offer free support services to those who need them most.

Please sponsor us and help make a difference. Thank you. ❤️
