On 31st May 2026, Burton Copeland’s Managing Director, Daniel Weed, along with Trainee Solicitors Damian Gwiazdowski and Lucy Fraser, will be taking on the Manchester 10K!

For Damian and Lucy, this will be their very first 10K, and they are excited to lace up their running shoes in support of this amazing cause. For former Marathon runner Dan, it is opportunity to dust off those running shoes (which have been in storage some considerable time!) and get plodding those pavements again.

By running this race, Team BC aims to raise vital funds for an incredible cause: Manchester Youth Zone (MYZ). Based in North Manchester, this inspiring charity supports, mentors, and empowers the city’s youth, providing a safe, positive environment and opening doors to opportunities; regardless of background, circumstances, or postcode.

The young people of Manchester are the future of our vibrant city, and Manchester Youth Zone is dedicated to ensuring that even those from the most deprived areas have the chance to become tomorrow’s iconic lawyers, musicians, elite athletes, innovators, and leaders in science, technology, and beyond. Every step our team takes in this race brings us closer to making those opportunities a reality!
