This year, our BUSHIDO Karate Association - Glasgow - 2026 Fundraiser is in aid of the National Autistic Society – East Renfrewshire Branch - Media Explorers Club.
We have Karate clubs throughout Glasgow ; Cambuslang * Cardonald * Castlemilk * Clarkston * Crookfur / Newton Mearns * Dumbreck * Eaglesham * East Kilbride * Netherlee * Paisley * Pollock and are raising funds for the Charity via this page AND at our upcoming Workshop, end of May 2026.
The National Autistic Society Scotland, provides a range of services and support for Scotland’s 56,000 autistic people and their families and campaign at national and local level to help create a society that works for autistic people.
The East Renfrewshire branch supports families of children and adults with autism and autistic individuals who live in East Renfrewshire. The Branch is run entirely by volunteers who are parents of people with Autism or who are Autistic themselves. Providing Branch volunteers, Fundraising, Support, Advice, Guidance, Campaigns, Newsletters, Podcasts and Clubs.
We are raising funds in aid of the Media Explorers Club. This is a club which the NAS East Renfrewshire Branch delivers in partnership with Include Me Club and Any Possible Universe. The club offers Autistic young people a unique opportunity to participate and explore a range of activities that are otherwise hard to access such as, animation, digital art, script writing, filming, etc. Media Explorers has had a significant impact of participants wellbeing, confidence, and skills development, alongside the opportunity to socialise with peers. It is therefore a transformative experience inspiring the group to follow their interests and passions, enhancing their skillset and confidence at this crucial stage of life.
