I wanted a challenge for 2025 and what better way of achieving this than a London to Paris Charity cycle ride for Katharine House Hospice, a charity close to my heart. Working as a specialist palliative care nurse within the community team I not only see professionally how the charity and all the tremendous people within it contribute towards and provide specialist emotional, physical and psychosocial support care for patients and their loved ones but also, being part of the local community I too have experienced first hand how friends and their families have also been supported during their most challenging and difficult times.

Katharine House Hospice provides specialst care for people with advanced life limiting illness and is reliant on charitable donations to enable it to continue with the amazing support and clinical care provided by a multiprofessional team. Over £3.5 million pounds need to be found through fundraising and donations each year and the costs are rising.
