Last year, I stepped through September (and beyond) in honor of WCC patron Caitríona Balfe's father Jim. This year, I'm stepping through September in honor of my own father George Manning who recently passed.

Dad supported my efforts last year both in word & deed. I walked while he was taking his afternoon nap. Upon my return, he always asked what route I took, how many miles, time duration, weather...And when he saw my shoes were falling apart - he kindly replaced them!

My father lived to the grand old age of 96. I am proud and privileged to be undertaking this year's effort in his honor... helping children live to their own grand old age!
