From the 5th to 7th of June 2026 I will be cycling from Ullapool to Aberdeen, approx. 240 miles, as part of Coast to Coast 17 (C2C17).

In 2019 I took part in C2C11, riding from Brodick, on the Isle of Arran, to Aberdeen. I was due to ride C2C12 in 2020 but had to pull out due to my cancer diagnosis. This year I have decided to join the ride again to make up for missing C2C12.

This year we are raising funds for four amazing charities and I am proud to be riding for Instant Neighbour Aberdeen. They do amazing work in the community in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire.

Instant Neighbour has been supporting people in Aberdeen City and Shire for almost 40 years. They support people on low incomes to set up home, by providing access to low-cost reuse furniture, white goods, clothing and bric a brac. As well as their shops, they offer professional services, such as joinery and carpet laying, that are accessible to all. Last year over 2000 people relied on them, with nearly 9000 emergency food parcels provided.

They also offer employment experiences through volunteering in their shops, warehouse, vans and office. Any profit made from these enterprises goes back into the organisation to support their charitable work.
