Here in Mexico, the stray dogs have it worse than I've ever seen.

The shelters are in the most horrible conditions - unclean and unsafe. Mange & parasite infested.

They resort to putting dogs down because they can't take in anymore and don't have the resources to keep up. Others are left to fend for themselves on the streets - a common thing we learn about. These poor dogs are dealing with all sorts of problems—worms eating away at them, parasites causing pain, and the little puppies left without their moms and proper milk. All symptoms I am currently dealing with as I have a litter of 5 in my home.

The 4-week old puppies have been given nothing but adult food, rapidly declining their chances of survival.... Infested with ticks that have taken me days to remove. The worms have only just begun....

I'm trying to raise money to get them some basic help—medicine to treat their illnesses and milk for the puppies who lost their moms too soon, I've purchased the smallest bit I could afford so far. Every cent counts to give these dogs a chance at a better life as we try to get them ready to transition to their forever homes.... The ones I have currently actually came from a shelter similar to a jail they were about to be euthanized in....

You don't truly grasp the severity of what we're dealing with until you're in it.... please consider.
