Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Every year the Royal British Legion lead the nation in commemorating and honouring those who have served and sacrificed. We remember those who lost their lives on active service in all conflicts; from the beginning of the First World War right up to the present day, as well as all those who have served and their families.
Each year, for 2 weeks leading up to Armistice Day, we distribute our paper poppies, badges and other merchandise to raise vital funds to help today's Armed Forces community. And it wouldn’t be possible without our incredible supporters.
Every year the Caerleon and District branch decorate lampposts throughout the village and surrounding area during the Poppy Appeal. This year we have yet again extended the coverage to include all main roads in and out of the village as well as the one way system.
As usual our very own Tim Bishop will once again be undertaking a cycling challenge to raise money for the Poppy Appeal....
Tommy's 100 Mile Challenge - 26th October 2025
We go again Caerleon, another 100 miles to raise money for this year's Poppy Appeal
The challenge will start at 7am on the 26th October from the Garden of Remembrance and go through to 7pm during which Tim will be attempting to complete 107 laps around the Caerleon one-way system on a vintage WW2 bicycle.
As in previous years, Tim is offering people the chance to join him for a few laps to help drive him on.
A RBL station will be located in the car park of Ye Olde Bull Inn from 11am with plenty of activities to keep you entertained and a wide range of Poppy Appeal merch for you to purchase.
Your support as a community is always greatly appreciated!
