After once telling me from the comfort of her armchair, that running a Half Marathon would just be "a mind game" and that I could do anything I put my mind to, as we sat and watched it on TV. It is now time for me to stick to my promise and put aside my dislike of long distance running and run the Cardiff Half for my Auntie Cheryl.

Over the year I will complete a series of 5ks and 10ks, finishing with the Cardiff Half in memory of my Auntie, Cheryl Parker, who was beautiful and loved by our family and so many others. Sadly, Auntie Cheryl lost her battle with breast cancer. She would do anything for me and was always ready to stand in the garden for hours and be my goal keeper when I was little and I wanted to practice playing football. She was always on my side and would be there making everyone around her laugh and smile!

I want to support and raise money for Marie Curie as the incredible nurses provided love and care for her when she needed it most. Anything you can donate is very appreciated and every donation will support these dedicated nurses as they continue to care for others in their time of need.
