Story
This April I will be running the London Marathon alongside (or hopefully, just ahead of) my Dad.
With Cancer Research UK currently estimating that cancer diagnoses will reach one per minute globally within a generation, I want to help in any way that I can.
I've chosen to fundraise for Penny Brohn, a fantastic charity whose good work I implore you to read more about at the link below. They change lives on a daily basis by providing practical, emotional and social support to anyone affected by cancer in the UK. To put some numbers behind this claim, they supported 2128 people with cancer through their services in 2022.
I have been running for a couple of years now, but this will be my first marathon. Follow along below to see updates of my training via Strava. From a >35 minute 5k in the not so distant past, I am excited to see what I can do with the motivation of such a great cause. I hope you will agree and will sponsor me on my 26 miles to Buckingham Palace.
Whether you can give a few seconds in sharing this page, or a few pounds to my fundraising, all support is greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
