Story
In March, I’ll be walking 100 miles in memory of our beautiful son, Pip.
We lost Pip at 14 weeks following a diagnosis of Edwards’ syndrome (Trisomy 18), and we made the heartbreaking decision to end the pregnancy. It was the hardest experience of our lives; one filled with love, grief, and impossible choices.
During that time, ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) were a lifeline. They provided clear information, compassionate support, and a safe space to ask the questions no one ever expects to have to ask. They helped us feel less alone in a situation that can feel incredibly isolating.
Just a few days ago, we welcomed our rainbow baby, Koa, into the world. Holding him brings so much joy, but Pip will always be part of our family and part of our story.
Walking 100 miles in March, just a couple of postpartum, is going to be a real challenge (sleep deprivation included!), but it feels like a meaningful way to honour Pip and give something back to the charity that supported us through the darkest time.
Every pound helps ARC continue supporting families facing devastating prenatal diagnoses and difficult decisions.
If you feel able to donate or share, thank you. And if you’re simply reading this and holding Pip in your thoughts, that means just as much.
Thank you
