Story
In February 2024, we sadly said goodbye to my wonderful Granny, Elaine Warren.
Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, Thames Hospice was by her side every step of the way. The Paul Bevan Day Therapy Unit offered her unwavering support, from physiotherapy and art therapy to social activities that brought her comfort and joy. When her illness progressed, she was admitted to the inpatient unit, where she was cared for with incredible compassion, dignity and even laughter during the hardest moments.
Thames Hospice made an immeasurable difference to my Granny’s journey, and for that we are eternally grateful.
To honour her memory and help others receive the same exceptional care, I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 12th April 2026 in support of Thames Hospice 🦋
