Story
So I've took the leap of faith and there's no turning back now!
I'm running the 2025 Great North Run for East Durham Veterans Trust. This charity is full of people who have built a community and a safe space for veterans to come together and it holds a very very special place in my heart. They host so many events, days out, social groups, the list goes on.
I'm the proudest daughter, god daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter of generations of veterans who have served for this country.
This one is for you Dad. An individual who took the leap at 16 and achieved more by the age of 25 than I could ever imagine achieving. I will always be proud to stand by your side and say your my dad🤍
If you can spare anything or even just a share, it can help this blessing of a charity continue to support veterans and their families when they need it the most🫶🏻
Thank you and wish me luck🫣
East Durham Veterans Trust is a veterans mental health charity that supports veterans and their families.
We support veterans and their families in a number of areas but mainly in the mental health, social inclusion and support with the transition from military to civilian life.
We have supported just over 900 veterans and family members within this time and our counselling service is one of the best in the region for veterans and their families. In 2023 the mental health service was rated at 4.97 out of 5 from the people who accessed the service.
The support we get off the community allows us to continue to do what we do in this way,all funds that are raised stay in our region and support our veterans and their families
