I completed 15 rounds of chemotherapy in 2019-2020. The first 6 rounds were absolutely debilitating. I was immunocompromised, so public pools were off-limits. Plus, I was susceptible to skin infections and rashes. Ironically, more than anything, I wanted to go for a swim during treatment. I knew it would be relaxing, calming, and go easy on my joints (which ached).

For the month of June, I'm partnering with my dear cousin, Courtney, and together, we will swim 5 miles each, for a total of 10 miles!

We're also raising money for the American Cancer Society's fight for a world without cancer.
