Belfast City Air Ambulance Runway Run

Caitriona Mc Killop is raising money for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland
In memory of Freddy McKendry

Belfast City Airport Runway Run · 10 June 2026 ·

The Belfast City Air Ambulance Runway Run will take place on Wednesday 10th June, 2026 and offers participants a unique experience of running 5K on the Belfast City Airport runway whilst raising vital funds to support your local Air Ambulance.

Story

Hey myself and a few others will taking part in the Belfast City Air Ambulance Runway Run, a fast paced 5k race on the runway of Belfast City Airport once all flights have ceased.

Everyone knows I am far from a runner😂 so this will be a challenge on its own. Personally, I am doing this run in memory of my wee twin Freddy who unfortunately isn't with us today and is massively missed by all of us. On the night freddy lost his life the air ambulance was at the scene. Although, the outcome was the last one we wanted my goal now is to raise anything that keeps the air ambulance in the air in hope to avoid another family going through what we have went through in the past 7 years. So if you could kindly donate any small amount it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

All donations will support future patients wherever they are, wether that be at a serious road collision, farm or workplace accident or serious medical emergency.

Every pound raised is helping the charity deliver emergency pre-hospital care to the most critically ill and injured patients across Northern Ireland. Thank you for supporting my challenge.
