Story
Hello everyone ! I'm Callum and I'm about to attempt to walk from Kyushu to Hokkaido in Japan. A 3000km journey, solely on foot.
I'm doing this not only for the challenge and the insane adventure, but also as part of my own mental health journey. I have struggled with my mental health for the most part of my teenage/adult life. I have had points where I've been so low and lost that I couldn't see any reason to go on, even contemplating suicide.
It's thanks to my amazing support network of family and friends that I've been able to pull myself out of these lows and find reasons to go on. In recent years finding a love for travelling and exploration has been a real lifeline and motivation to keep going. This love for travel and a desire to be more open about my mental health struggles, has inspired this adventure.
Reflecting on my own story, I realised in so many way its a very fortunate one, and not everyone has that support network available. That's why I've decided to fundraise form CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably). CALM are a UK based charity with the sole mission of preventing suicide.
Did you know that 1 in 5 of us will experience suicidal thoughts at some point in our lives ?
CALM not only run a vital life saving suicide prevention hotline, but they run national campaigns and have a huge library of tools and resources available for anyone in need.

A donation of £12.20 is enough to fund a life saving phone call.
That's why I'm aiming to raise £1220, thats enough to save 100 lives.
Please donate if you can, and if not just follow along the journey !
