My involvement is inspired by a friend who unfortunately passed away recently. Matt was always giving his time to help people. He gave his time to me during lockdown when I was in a seriously low place. His phone calls brought me back out of a pit I found myself in. My experience of Matt listening to me really shines a light on just how important one call can be for someone in need.

Every 10 seconds, Samaritans responds to a call for help. We're staying silent for 10 hours to raise money for them.

We commit to silence from 7am till 5pm on the 2nd March, and we hope to be set up in Tunbridge Wells for the day collecting donations and raising awareness, pending council approval.

Around 6000 people a year in the UK die by suicide. The Samaritans are working to reduce this number. Lets try to help them continue this important work.
