Story
Hello, my name is Caleb Goodson, and I have decided to set myself a challenge by running the London Marathon. I believe there is no better charity for me to run for than Cystic Fibrosis, as it holds a very close place in my heart due to my sister, Shona, having the condition.
I have watched my sister grow up facing many challenges, including spending a large part of her life, especially when she was younger, in and out of hospital. I feel that running the marathon is a great opportunity for me to raise awareness and help educate people about Cystic Fibrosis and the impact it can have on those living with the condition.
Over the years, my sister’s health has improved significantly due to new medicines and treatments being developed. The money raised through charities has played a major role in helping to fund these advancements and improve the lives of people living with Cystic Fibrosis.
Because of this, I see running the London Marathon as a huge opportunity to raise money and support others born with Cystic Fibrosis, helping to give them the opportunity to grow up and live their lives with fewer limitations and struggles.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition which causes sticky mucus to build up in the lungs and digestive system. It affects more than 11,000 people in the UK. One in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.
Your donations help us fund vital research. Donate today to help everyone with CF live a life unlimited.
