Ben More 24 Hour Challenge - Fundraiser for Mouth Cancer Foundation

24 Hours of Ben More · 27 June 2025
Raising money for mouth cancer is something I’ve wanted to do for some time, as it has affected my family and many others in a significant way. The idea of doing 24 hours continuously up and down the Mull Munro, Ben More, is one I came up with over a year ago, but working full time with a packed race schedule put it somewhat out of the picture as it would be such a brutal task. However, as I begin to take on longer distances, there is no greater challenge I can think of than seeing how many times I can summit Mull’s highest mountain within a day.
The goal will be 10 times up and down, which would be well over the height of Everest from sea level (over 9,600m in total) and 100km in distance. I’d love to reach my target of £5000, as the money would go a long way to support those who suffer and/or are affected. I’ve chosen to raise money for the Mouth Cancer Foundation as the work they do is very valuable in providing support. There is a little bit about the Mouth Cancer Foundation below:
The Mouth Cancer Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping and supporting those suffering from or at risk of mouth cancer, throat cancer and other head and neck cancers, as well as providing assistance and information on living with mouth cancer for families, friends and carers.
I do not doubt this will be the most challenging thing I’ve put myself through both physically and mentally, but it will be 100% worth the effort, any donation will be greatly appreciated.
