Story
The 21st September 2025 should have been my father's 72nd birthday.
Instead, I will be running the Berlin Marathon in his memory.
Captain Sam Judah, MBE, passed away on the 24th October 2019. For two and a half years he fought with everything he had following his diagnosis of an advanced Glioblastoma (GBM); the most complex, most treatment-resistant brain cancer — and one of the deadliest types of any cancer.
My father was an amazing person. A truly inspirational entrepreneur and business leader. A kind, generous and charitable gentleman. A loving husband, dad and grandad.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, they are moving further and faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.
The Brain Tumor Charity are set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support and driving urgent change. They're doing it right now because they understand that when you, or someone you love, is diagnosed with a brain tumour a cure really can't wait.
Having secured my own entry to the Marathon I am not reliant on the Charity for a place, and as such have no specific target.
Every single penny donated will go towards fighting this aggressive and destructive form of cancer, and supporting those families affected by it.
The GBA Group of Companies will proudly be matching all donations up to £15,000 in aggregate. Please give generously if you can.
