Prospect Hospice cared for my stepdad, Gary, at home during the hardest chapter of our lives, and I honestly don’t know how we would have coped without them.

Prospect Hospice made sure Gary was as comfortable and supported as possible in his own home. They provided essential care equipment – including a hospital bed, a chair, and a bed table – things that might sound small, but made a huge difference to his comfort, dignity, and quality of life in those final weeks.

What stood out just as much as the practical help was the human side of their care. The team carried out regular check-ins, both in person and over the phone. We never felt forgotten or left to struggle alone. Knowing someone was there, keeping a close eye on Gary and genuinely caring about our family, brought us enormous reassurance at a time when everything felt overwhelming.

When Gary needed end-of-life medication, Prospect Hospice acted quickly and compassionately to make sure it was put in place without delay. Their responsiveness and experience meant Gary was kept comfortable and at peace, sparing him unnecessary distress and allowing us to focus on being with him.

Without this charity, an already heartbreaking situation would have been made so much worse. Prospect Hospice didn’t just care for Gary in his final days at home – they cared for our whole family, and for that we will always be deeply grateful.
