SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, has been providing lifelong support since 1885. Every year, thanks to our supporters, we make a difference in the lives of more than 82,000 people in need, from Second World War veterans to those who have served in more recent conflicts, and their families.

The reason why I am fundraising for SSAFA is because they helped my family in a time of need. They helped us financially when we weren't expecting anything but it was greatly appreciated. I would now like to raise some money to help the charity in return.

I will be doing this as part of an event organised by the Army Cadets; although they won't all be fundraising with me I do have one other person who will be raising funds with me, Kayleigh Porter
