Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page.
Myself and Callum have made the decision to complete a skydive in honour of two very close people in our lives going through the difficult process of a diagnosis.
I am jumping for my best friend of over 20 years, who at 34 was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She made the decision to undergo Chemotherapy for the sake of her two young children, however this was unfortunately unsuccessful and she has very recently undergone a mastectomy to remove the breast. She is now awaiting radiotherapy.
I am honestly lost for words at the strength and courage she has shown throughout the entire process. This challenge is being completed in support of how truly incredible she is and to support a charity, which has supported her during the most difficult time of her life.
Callum is jumping in honour of his dad, who has been through the terrible process of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Having previously beaten the cancer, it has now come back and is terminal. Every day Callum's dad struggles through his pain and does what he can to keep going and distract himself from it all.
This is understandably a devasting outcome for everyone involved and the nurses from Macmillan have been a constant support throughout the entire process.
We have all been affected by cancer at some point in our lives, whether that is directly or indirectly through friends and family members. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
Any support you can give is greatly appreciated by both of us and also Macmillan. No Donation is too small when it comes to helping people through this horrible process.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe, JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs.
