Story
For the last 10 years we have played 4 rounds of golf in a day for macmillan cancer support, raising over £10,000 over the decade.
As the challenge has grown more popular we have found it harder and harder to get something on the books. This year through Abbeyford leisures' amazing team and the wonderful teams at St Michael's Golf Club, the Fairmont and Scoonie golf course we have managed to organise our annual outing again.
For those of you who have never heard of the challenge it is 72 holes of golf on a single day. Teeing off around 4am and finishing just after 10am, it consists of approximately 380 shots (if Geoff is playing closer to 450), 25 miles of walking with your clubs, and roughly 50 golf balls sprayed wildly and removed throughout the day.
Macmillan cancer support do wonderful work for those dealing with the worst news imaginable, and this is our way trying to show our appreciation for their efforts.
If you can spare even a couple of pounds, all the support is massively appreciated and it would mean the world to 2 geriatrics, myself and a debutant in Kev.
If you have some money id suggest investing in titleist stocks as this is my ball of choice.
