#TeamMarches are taking on the London Marathon for the first time in 2025. Marches Family Network are a lifeline to families in Herefordshire, providing inclusive and accessible social opportunities for disabled children and young adults

Story

In April 2025, I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Marches Family Network. MFN provides activities, services and short breaks for children and young people, aged 0-25 years, with a wide range of disabilities. All of the sessions they run are group sessions so the young people are able to socialise with their peers and develop friendships. MFN are a lifeline for hundreds of families in Herefordshire and the surrounding counties. Their sessions are the only inclusive, accessible and supported activities that many disabled children and young adults can access, on both the weekends and school holidays.

I have seen first-hand the work MFN carry out, with the support and experiences they have provided Kirsten's sister Ruby. Please click on the links below to read and hear Ruby's story.

Children in Need - Ruby's Story

As a charity, MFN rely on donations, grants and fundraising to continue their vital work. Without this, many young people would be left isolated, unable to meet with their peers, and families would be left with no respite from their caring responsibilities. Any donation would be greatly appreciated in supporting this excellent charity.

Many thanks for your support!
