Story
Early legal advice is essential for anyone involved in a legal dispute. For many, it is unaffordable. Without any meaningful legal aid, responsibility has fallen on the shoulders of volunteers at law clinics, and solicitors and barristers acting pro bono, to provide legal advice free of charge.
At the East Greenwich Legal Advice Clinic volunteers offer free legal advice to those who need it most. Without the support of the Clinic, clients would be left alone to navigate litigation or other non-court legal disputes. Amy and I are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise funds to support the running of the Clinic and to promote access to justice.
Any donation, no matter how small, would be gratefully received by me, Amy and everyone at EGLAC.
