Story
Hi my name is Calum, I have worked for Hertfordshire Fire & Rescue for 19 years.
I’m cycling the entire length of the United Kingdom, End to End. Starting in Lands End cycling over 140km’s a day I will not stop until I reach the most northern part of the UK mainland, John O Groats.
This huge challenge will take me 13 days with a total distance of 1,900km being covered. Not only will be this a physical challenge but a mental one too as I’m cycling on my own carrying food and water on my bike as I go.
I’m hoping to raise funds for the Firefighters charity, being a frontline firefighter has given me the opportunity to do a job I love. Helping members of public and keeping our communities safe is a privilege that I will never take for granted. But I also know it comes at a cost, physical and emotionally.
I have seen and witnessed the work of the firefighters charity, the support they provide to rehabilitate injured firefighters and the positive impact on the lives of my colleagues & their families.
Please help me to raise funds for our amazing charity. Thank you.
