Ultra Marathon 110 · 23 May 2026

Maternity Bereavement Service at James Cook University Hospital. Your donations will help us to keep on making a difference to our families, and allow them to create precious memories together with their baby.

Story

On Saturday 23rd May, I’ll be taking on the Hardmoors 110 — a 110-mile ultramarathon from Filey to Helmsley, with a 36-hour cutoff.

I’m doing this to raise money for the Maternity Bereavement Service at James Cook University Hospital.

On 15th January 2026, my wife gave birth to our beautiful boys, Earl and Ernie. What should have been the happiest day became the day we had to say goodbye. Born prematurely, our boys spent a few precious hours with us before passing peacefully, surrounded by love.

In those moments, the care, compassion, and kindness shown by the bereavement team meant everything. They helped guide us through unimaginable heartbreak, and we will never forget what they did for our family.

We want to give something back, so they can continue to support other families facing baby loss with the same warmth and dignity.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference and is hugely appreciated.

Thank you for your support.

This one is for you, boys 🤍🤍
