Story
It's that time of year once again! For the fifth year running (pun still intended) I'm running the 10k at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival raising funds for the Edinburgh City Mission.
So far, that's been a running total of £2941.25 raised across the four years. Here's hoping to raise enough to take that across the £3k line!
Above all though, thank you so much for anything you can share and donate. With every penny the City Mission is able to make more of a difference in the streets and lives of Edinburgh
There are the 7 Foodbanks+, Salaam (refugee support work), a Clothesbank+ and a Soul Food homeless meals in Edinburgh, and the Care Van (in partnership with Bethany Christian Trust), travelling the city each night providing hot food and drink to folks who are homeless.
There's also the the 'Open Hand' project, providing parents with presents for their children, so that the door can be opened to celebrating their birthday, by reducing the financial burden it can place on a family. The present given to each child will be specific to that child’s interests and tastes so that they receive not just a gift, but one that they will really cherish and enjoy.
With every donation, no matter how small, you can help support their work making a real difference in people's lives across Scotland's capital city!
