Five years ago, my family's world was shaken when we lost our father/husband to sepsis. His passing left an indelible mark on our hearts, igniting a fire within us to make a difference in his honor.

On 18th May 2024, I'll be embarking on a monumental journey with my sister and Mum: the Jurassic Coast Ultra Marathon—a grueling 58km test of endurance and determination. This event holds profound significance for my family; as the location is that of special meaning due to numerous holidays being spent here as a family.

This will be my first fundraising endeavor since his passing, I couldn't think of a more fitting way to honor him than by raising awareness and funds for the UK Sepsis Trust. Especially as my Mum has recently taken Sepsis on herself! Every step I take along the rugged coastline will be a reminder of his strength, courage, and the cherished moments we shared.

Sepsis is a silent killer, claiming lives at an alarming rate. But with early detection and proper treatment, it's preventable. By supporting this cause, you're not just contributing to my journey—you're joining the fight against sepsis, helping to save lives and prevent others from experiencing the same heartache my family endured.
