Story
What started as a personal challenge to run the London Marathon for charity has grown into something more. I’m committed to continuing my running and fundraising efforts for the Mental Health Foundation, a cause that remains deeply close to my heart.
My journey began with the 2016 London Marathon, which I ran in memory of a close friend who had recently passed away. His memory continued to inspire and motivate me and in 2025, I ran it again to mark the 10th anniversary.
Mental health affects so many of us, often silently and without the support we need. The Mental Health Foundation focuses on prevention, working to address mental health challenges before they become crises. Through research, education, and community programs, they aim to break stigma, provide vital resources, and create lasting, positive change. Every donation, no matter the size, helps them reach more people and build a future where mental health is protected and prioritised.
Whether it’s another marathon, a trail race, or simply the training runs—I run as a heartfelt tribute to my friend and in support of everyone still facing mental health challenges.
Thank you so much for your ongoing generosity, support, and encouragement. It truly means the world.
See you out there,
Calvs
