In early May, I underwent an operation and had my right kidney removed for medical reasons. I was very lucky to have an amazing medical team and loved ones who supported me during this.

To give back, I want to run a marathon and raise money for Kidneys for Life, a charity focused on funding research for various kidney related projects in the North West, including dialysis treatment, transplants, and the detection of early stage kidney disease.

I want to raise awareness and help alleviate the difficulties experienced by a condition I knew little of beforehand.
