Cameron Lynde’s Stockholm Marathon Fundraiser for My Name'5 Doddie Foundation

Adidas Stockholm Marathon · 3 June 2023
Hi there,
On the third of June I will be running the Stockholm Marathon to raise money and awareness for the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
MND (Motor Neurone Disease) is a brutal disease. It prevents nerve impulses from motor neurones in the brain and spinal cord reaching muscles. This leads to the muscles weakening, stiffening, and wasting away over time. It affects how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. It is life-shattering for all those involved and can move aggressively through a person.
Seeing the devastating impact and uncompromising nature of the disease, it is all the more important that awareness and money is raised for such an amazing and inspirational charity. Whilst there is no cure as it stands, recent fundraising has lead to leaps and bounds in research improvements and the increased publicity has resulted in a recent £50 million government funding pledge for MND.
With this in mind, the My Name’5 Doddie Foundation has two core aims.
1) Raise funds for research into the causes of MND and investigate potential cures,
2) Make grants to sufferers of MND and enable them to live as fulfilled a life as possible.
Therefore, in my effort to help this cause I will be running around Stockholm for 26.2 miles as part of a fundraiser. If you are feeling generous, I’d massively appreciate if you’d donate to such a great cause. I know that every penny raised will go to great use and will also help spur me along. And if you'd like to find out more, there's tonnes of information in the below link:

Thanks!
Cameron
