I will be running the Amsterdam Marathon in support of Pain Concern, a charity dedicated to raising awareness about chronic pain and improving pain management services.

Since I have been 19, I have battled with chronic back pain, which affected my well-being but has also caused immense stress and frustration for friends and family who struggled to understand the daily challenges chronic pain can cause.

After years of research and various pain management protocols, I am back in regular exercise utilising techniques learned from charities such as Pain Concern. By running the Amsterdam Marathon, I aim to raise awareness about chronic pain and how it is vital that we improve pain management services to provide better support for all.

I have chosen Pain Concern as the beneficiary of my fundraising efforts because they have a vast knowledge of information dedicated to supporting people in pain. The organisation tirelessly works to provide valuable resources, support networks, and educational initiatives to empower individuals with chronic pain and their families. By supporting Pain Concern, we can pave the way for a brighter future, where those living with invisible illnesses receive the care and understanding they truly deserve.
