Story
The Camino de Santiago, or the Way of St. James, is more than a walking route - it's a profound journey of discovery, spirit and connection.
Foe over 1,000 years, pilgrims have travelled these trails to the magnificent Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, believed to be the resting place of St. James the Apostle. The city itself takes its name from him - Santiago meaning St. James and Compostela meaning field of stars.
In March, Soldiers and Officers from the British Army (London District) will undertake Ex Camino Harmony, a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago - The English Way in Northern Spain.
Over five days, the team will hike approximately 111 kilometres from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela, following in the footsteps of generations of pilgrims. Walking together through physical challenge and quiet moments of reflection, the team will support each other and other pilgrims of the community along the journey.
Ex Camino Harmony also seeks to raise awareness and support for the RCAM and AGC Corps Trusts, reflecting the beliefs of service, charity and care for others that this pilgrimage promotes.
