Texas 4000 for Cancer
There aren’t words that can be said to reverse the suffering of those who have been impacted by cancer. I am fortunate that my immediate family has been spared, but there is work to be done to make this a reality for more people.
I ride for the survivors who still notice the effects of their past battles with cancer each day, or who bear the financial hardships of the medical treatment that was required in the fight for their life. I ride for those who are fighting cancer in isolation and experiencing their trials alone, and for family members who perpetually feel the absence of a loved one. I ride because I believe that each day I am given is a gift, and because spending my time caring for and focusing on others is the best way to live out my purpose. I ride for the belief that one day, there won’t be any more pain, suffering, or loss. Until then, I’ll strive to love people wholeheartedly through their best and worst days.
This organization provides an opportunity to change the narrative regarding cancer, and it allows me to actively take part in that effort. Along the 18 month journey, I am eager to share the active work being done with those touched by cancer and their support systems to help improve the lives of people experiencing similar trials. I hope this provides just the encouragement needed to continue their fight.
Thank you for supporting me along this journey, through your donation or simply by sharing my page with others. Feel free to contact me–I would be honored to dedicate a day of my ride to you or someone you love.
