London Marathon 2025 · 27 April 2025 ·

Campaign by The Salvation Army (RCN 214779 and in Scotland SC009359)
The amazing Team Sally Army is taking on the challenge of the London Marathon 2025, raising crucial funds to support The Salvation Army's vital work every step of the way.

Story

In 1930, my great-grandparents were both Salvation Army officers in Darwen, Lancashire. They had three young children, including my Grandpa, Granville Camsey, and worked 15-hour days in a local woolen mill. Despite their hard work, food was often scarce. The Salvation Army stepped in and helped them during those tough times, making a huge difference to their lives.

Dad ran the London Marathon in 1996, and I ran the Abu Dhabi Marathon in 2023. I thought it would be amazing to run the London Marathon as dad did, not only in memory of grandpa but also to raise funds for the Salvation Army, a cause that means so much to our family.

The Salvation Army does incredible work, providing shelter, food, and support to people in need all over the world. Their mission is close to our hearts, given the help they provided to our family all those years ago.

I’m really excited to take on this challenge and would love your support. Every donation, big or small, will help the Salvation Army continue their vital work.

Thank you for helping make a difference.

Bring on April 2025!
