Story
Cancer is one of the top leading causes of death worldwide, and unfortunately, it affects everyone in one way or the other, be it personally, through friends, relatives or colleagues.
Getting a cancer diagnosis or having a close relative who is battling cancer can be very challenging. However, cutting edge research, treatments and support offered by organisations like The Christie help make a difference for cancer patients and their families.
The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe and treats more than 60,000 patients a year. The Christie has been at the forefront of over 100 years of pioneering cancer research breakthroughs which I'm sure you'll agree is impressive.
The Christie charity has a history of over 100 years supporting The Christie hospital, in fact The Christie Hospital was born from charitable donations. The charity exists to provide enhanced services over and above what the NHS funds.
Gifts from supporters really do make a huge difference to the care and treatment that The Christie is able to provide to patients and families.
I am taking part in the TalkTalk Fire walk challenge (you read that right, 'Walking on hot coals!') to help raise funds for The Christie, and your donations will go a long way to making a difference for The Christie's patients and their families.
Thank you for your donation.
