Hector Stringer took his life at the tender age of 18. He didn't realise that things can and do get better and he didn't reach out to his friends and family to ask for help when he needed it most. We believe that suicide can be prevented, if we all realise that mental health is fluid, that you can get help, you are not alone, people do care.

As a team for the whole of June 2025 all of us from Candelo will be raising money so that hopefully, we can prevent suicide, though increased awareness, education and support.

For the month we will be serving up an extra special mocktail available all day every day with 100% all proceeds going towards the charity. Or for those with a sweet tooth we will also have our retro sweet shop bags on the bar ready in exchange for a donation.

On June 15th between 9am -11am we will also be holding a bake sale in the lounge with a large selection of cakes and treats.

Then finally we are very proud to be bringing our legendary quiz night back for one night only on Wednesday 25th June, get in touch to book your space with teams of up to 6 people for £10 entry and prizes and a raffle on the night!
