About KidsOut

Each year, more than 20,000 children flee domestic abuse to seek safety in refuges.

Often leaving home with nothing but the clothes on their backs, these traumatised children have endured violent, emotional, and sometimes sexual abuse. They arrive at refuge scared, isolated, and with nothing to call their own.

In partnership with Women’s Aid, other charities, and corporate supporters, KidsOut helps remind these children — and thousands of others living with disadvantage — what it feels like to simply be children and have fun.

Just imagine being a child who has…

NEVER received a gift

NEVER owned a brand-new toy

NEVER walked on a beach

NEVER been to a theme park

But has instead…

LIVED every day in fear of abuse

Cried themselves to sleep each night

KidsOut changes that. The charity provides toys, food vouchers, storybooks, and fun days out to places like zoos, theme parks, and cinemas — helping to restore joy, confidence, and a sense of normality.

How It Works
