Team Empower Danceathon – Capstone Financial

Danceathon · 9 May 2025
On the 9th May, Sarah Healey and Janine Brink will be dusting off their dancing shoes and 80s neon outfits, to dance the day and night away. This is to raise money for Prevent Breast Cancer, a charity that is close to our hearts that has impacted many of the Capstone family, and Sarah and Janine’s family and friends too.
There will be over 50 women, all part of the LCap Empowering Women Network in Manchester, who will be putting on their dancing shoes and dancing for 12 hours nonstop with Reform Radio Manchester and various celebrities. We would really love your help donating (or join us) to achieve our goal of collectively raising over £50,000 on the night.
Prevent Breast Cancer are addressing the serious workforce shortages within breast imaging. The challenges have led to delays in breast cancer diagnosis, closure of breast centres, and reduced recruitment to research studies. Together, the charities launched a £3.9 million appeal for a new National Breast Imaging Academy, Build To Beat Breast Cancer. Work has already started on the building and there is just circa £250,000 left to raise before they can officially open the doors.
Janine and Sarah have set a target of £2000 between them and this will determine the final dancing outfits. The more money raised and crazier the outfit:-
£500 raised – Flashdance out of grey jumper, neon head band and leg warmers
£1000 raised – Madonna, 80s “get into the groove” neon tutus
Over £1500 raised - Neon 80s ALL LYCRA dancing outfit – Jane Fonda eat your heart out
If we do over £2000 then Sarah said she will do the full 12 hours in heels!
Please donate if you can and help us raise money for this great cause.
Love
Sarah and Janine xx
