Britpart Foley Charger is raising money for Rhino Ark

Rhino Charge 2025 · 31 May 2025 · Start fundraising for this event

Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu. These provide an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo as well as protecting vital upland watertables of Kenya

Story

The Cause

We’re proud to announce that Car 4 - the Britpart Foley Charger - is officially taking on the wild in the 2025 Rhino Charge!

Built for the challenge and backed by passion, we’re revving up to raise funds for a cause that protects Kenya’s vital ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.

The Rhino Charge is Kenya’s ultimate off-road challenge, but it’s much more than just an adventure. Every penny raised supports the Rhino Ark Kenya Charitable Trust, protecting Kenya’s mountain ecosystems - the "Water Towers" that communities and wildlife depend on.

Thanks to Rhino Ark, human-wildlife conflicts have dropped by an amazing 97%!

100% of your donations go straight to Rhino Ark, real conservation, real impact.

Meet the Team

We are a group of passionate friends brought together by a love of Land Rovers, off-road adventures, and conservation.

Paul: Our fearless leader. A lifelong Land Rover specialist who’s spent his entire career working with Defenders. Paul thrives on any car challenge and leads from the front.

Jon: A Land Rover Series 1 enthusiast and antique collector. By trade, Jon is a plasterer who holds a Royal Warrant!

David: The most sociable member of the team. A proud Defender owner who retired in his 40s and is now (mostly) busy building his dream home.

Rob: Defender owner and adventurer who’s travelled Southern Africa. Day-to-day, he’s a commercial gas and plumbing engineer, but he’s always ready for the next off-road journey.

Dan – Conservation is in Dan’s blood. A wildlife photographer and professional guide, based in Kenya, and the owner of Africa Off Track (“Travel Africa your way”). This is certainly a unique way to do it! We’re counting on his instincts to guide us right on Charge day.

Shaun: A wildlife photographer who's travelled far and wide, always up for an adventure. Founder of African-Eye, creating epic photographic safaris across Africa.

We’re in it for the challenge, the conservation, and the unforgettable memories. #WhyWeCharge
