Cara's fundraiser for First Light : walking the Cotswold way; support for Domestic Abuse in Cornwall and Devon

102 mile walk · 3 July 2025
I am walking The Cotswold Way with my best friend Emma to raise funds for the charity First Light who have supported me the last year whilst dealing with the after math of domestic violence.
The Cotswold way is a long distance walk that runs for 102 miles (163km) from the medieval market town of Chipping Campden in the North Cotswolds, to the historic City of Bath.
We will be walking the route over 4 days/3 nights and will be walking 25-30 miles a day: 3rd-6th July 2025
A little about First Light;
We need your support to help build safer lives free from abuse by:
- Educating and Preventing through early intervention, training and campaigning
- Protecting and Supporting through the provision of services to help safeguard and reach out to those suffering
Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence
- Cope and Recover by providing a full range of services to help people build resilience and move on to healthier
happier lives
- Give a Voice to those who suffer in silence and influence others to bring about positive change
Thank you for reading my story; please support my cause and donate what you can to help the charity continue its much needed work within Cornwall and Devon.
The Crime Survey for England and Wales estimated that 2.1 million people aged 16 years and over (1.4 million women and 751,000 men) experienced domestic abuse in the year ending March 2023.
An awful and scary number!
Please donate what you can 🙏🏻
