Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon for a special cause.
My nephew Dillon was born in April 2025 with a rare syndrome called Goldenhar, he had open heart surgery at 12 days old and has overcome many challenges in his first 8 months. Dillon spent 260 days at Evelina children’s hospital and his parents moved to London to be by his side.
Although he is now doing really well and moved to a local hospital, Dillon’s journey has just begun. He will have many visits to Evelina in the future for further surgeries and treatment.
The care Dillon received has been second to none and the nurses, consultants and all the teams who cared for Dillon were outstanding and my brother and sister-in-law immediately felt like part of the Evelina family. When visiting Dillon the nurses were all kind and welcoming during such a difficult time for all the families in their care.
Thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
